Was that your face that I saw?
Lonely and turning to me;
Searching for comfort and some small compassion,
that I could have given with ease?
Was that your face Lord, that I turned away from?
Oh, please give me one more chance!

Were they your hands that I saw?
Outstretched and sorely in need?
Hands of a beggar so dirty and calloused, that I turned away in disgust?
Were they your hands, Lord that I turned away from?

Were they your eyes that I saw?
Weary from sadness and pain?
Yearning to see someone smile out in kindness,
to see someone smile out of love?
Were they your eyes Lord, that I looked away from?
Oh, please give me one more chance.

Was that your voice that I heard I calling to me  from a far?
Pleading for help that was easy to give, But I chose not to answer the plea?
Was that your voice Lord. That I failed to answer?
Oh, please give me one more chance.

Is that your heart that I hear?
beating with love for your child?
Bearing so loudly with love and forgiveness
So loudly with comfort & joy? Yes, it’s your hear that I hear, Lord,
Because you have given me one more chance.
